Earned Value Management Systems

Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) are rapidly changing the way that federal agencies and their contractors do business. The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requires that agencies must comply with an EVMS standard in order to receive funding for the development of major information technology projects.

What is EVMS? EVMS is a program management technique that integrates performance requirements, resource planning, scheduling and risk management in order to provide better management insight.  Project managers, program managers and engineering managers will find this topic particularly useful.

Get the first-hand stories of the challenges of implementing EVM, as well as an overview, rationale, demonstration of its value and lessons learned from Tom Baker, VP Engineering at Overwatch, formerly Austin Info Systems, and Nancy Abraham, Manager of Overwatch's Program Management Office, where they have successfully deployed an EVM System.
